Dr Abhishek Nerurkar M.B.B.S., M. S. Orthopaedics, D.N.B. Orthopedics, is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, with speciality in treating shoulder and knee conditions.

Dr Abhishek Nerurkar is an experienced Orthopaedic Consultant & Surgeon, specialising in the treatment of knee and shoulder conditions. He is trained to carry out complete spectrum of surgeries in knee and shoulder joint, from minimally invasive and Arthroscopic procedures (key hole surgeries) to advance replacement surgeries. Dr. Abhishek Nerurkar has completed his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from Mumbai. He has done his post graduation; M.S Orthopaedics and D.N.B Orthopaedics in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

He has done his Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy from Sportklinik, Stuttgart, Germany and Fellowship in Arthroplasty and Arthroscopic Orthopaedic Surgery from Katharinen Hospital, Stuttgart, Germany. He has done his (SICOT and HOME) fellowship in advanced hip and knee joint reconstruction (Société Internationale de Chirurgie Orthopédiqueet de Traumatologie International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology) in 2013.

Dr. Abhishek Nerurkar is of the belief that the knowledge increases when you pass it to others and has been very passionate about teaching. He has worked as Assistant Professor in MCGM Medical college (Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College) and has been instrumental in teaching of numerous undergraduate and post graduate medical students. During his term in MCGM, he has worked as head of unit in Orthopaedics and has supervised nearly 600 surgeries a year for 5 years in trauma and various specialites in Orthopaedics. In this interim period he has published 4 research papers in indexed journals as primary author due to his inclination in research in orthopaedics. He has been reviewer in Journal of Orthopaedic Case Reports which is a renowned indexed journal.

Dr Abhishek has been faculty in various regional and national conferences and he has been part of team to conduct various cadaveric workshops to teach already practicing Orthopaedic Surgeons on getting new skills /  fine tuning and updating their operative skills.

Dr. Abhishek strives for surgical excellence and aims to develop new and better techniques for joint preservation surgeries and for the reconstruction of joints for patients with advanced joint degeneration to help his patients alleviate the sufferings. He believes in giving a transparent advice to his patients further involving them in decision making throughout their treatment. He bases his management of orthopaedic conditions on the best scientific evidence available, together with state of the art equipment and techniques. He is currently affiliated to various reputed hospitals in Mumbai to provide his patients the best of facilities to recuperate.
